I made these wands for a fairy tale video. They ended up just being stacked on top of an amplifier during a live performance. The way I see it, fairies and fairy godmothers validate femininity and embody the feminine fantasy through their taste and wit. Fabulous wands conjure fabulousness. Wands are like instruments of solidarity through the allowance "to be" - something that unfortunately can't be taken for granted. The phalic, pastel-coloured, floral wand is a far cry from the Harry Potter sticks, an attempt to reclaim magic paraphernalia from the imagination of transphobes.
